Extra rooms revenue: per year.
How this estimate is calculated
Rooms revenue = rooms × days open (30.4 per month) × occupancy × ADR. An assumption is applied to it, which depends on how you set your rates.
Published benchmark: a case study published on 30 October 2019 by the vendor RoomPriceGenie, on a small sample: revenue up 15% at the median, and 10% on average where a revenue manager was already in place. Read the study
We retain at most about half of these uplifts, and less still if you already have an RMS or a revenue manager.
| Current practice | Assumption retained |
|---|---|
| Seasonal rate grid | 5 to 8% |
| Manual yield, day by day | 3 to 5% |
| RMS or revenue manager | 1 to 3% |
